If I have joint pain or a health condition, is exercise right for me?

Yes! Exercise is beneficial in almost every case!
Regular movement will help reduce pain & stiffness and improve your ability to perform your activities of daily living. Passive treatments such as massage, acupuncture, and manual therapy can definitely aid in reducing tension and improving range of motion, but you'll likely reach a plateau without building stability and strength in your muscles.
We ask that you please consult with your family physician prior to starting any exercise program still.

What can I expect from my body diagnostic session?

Your initial session will include an basic assessment, including background questions, goal identification, and a series of simple physical tests. This will assist in determining what your current fitness level is, and will also aid in creating your customized exercise rehabilitation program.

What can I expect from my kinesiology sessions?

A kinesiologist will lead you through a personalized exercise program aimed to improve strength, stability, mobility and cardiovascular endurance. You can expect to feel more confident & a little stronger after each session!

Do I need to stop other therapies to start an active rehab program?

You may continue with other therapies (e.g. physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractic therapy, acupuncture) when participating in our rehab exercise programs. In fact, it is an excellent idea to exercise in conjunction with other therapies to expedite your healing process!

Do I need to bring any gear or equipment?

Please wear fitness attire (ex: running shoes, t-shirt, shorts or flexible pants) because you will be moving lots! Feel free to bring water as you will be sure to work up a sweat! Otherwise, all the equipment needed is provided by us (typically just exercise bands).
